The goal: 10 needles are buried somewhere inside the giant haystack. Find them all, as fast as you can — the clock starts the moment you land.
Move: WASD to walk, Shift to sprint, Space to jump. On mobile, use the left stick (push it all the way to sprint) and the JUMP button.
Dig: hold the left mouse button (or the BLOW button on mobile) to blow the hay flat and carve your own tunnels through the stack.
Find: watch the heat bar next to the crosshair, listen for the faint metallic hum that gets louder as you close in, and look for a silvery shimmer glinting through the straw. The deeper you go, the darker and slower it gets — the last needles hide near the core.
Stuck? In Normal mode a minimap appears after 60 seconds and keeps widening its hint radius until the 2-minute mark, when every needle is revealed.
Normal — all 10 needles are already in the stack when you land. Learn the layout, plan your route, chase the daily board. A typical round takes about 3 minutes.
Hardcore — dusk falls. Needles appear one by one, each buried deeper than the last, your radar range shrinks toward the core, and there is no minimap. Expect a 10-minute expedition.

Your score is the total time from landing to your 10th needle, measured to the tenth of a second. Lower is better. Scores set with the minimap (rounds over 60 seconds) are marked with 🗺 on the board.
